Lexi Carmichael Mystery
review 1: I really loved this book - it was civil, adventurous, funny, and breathtaking. Lexi is a geek who works with NSA, live a rather dull life and her love life is zero. Yet she finds herself in the middle of a dangerous covert operation and surrounded by gourges men who show interest in her. What I especially liked about Lexi was that she wasn't a disaster unlike other characters from similar books, she wasn't a super hero and I could completely identify with her. I am looking forward to the next books and hope they will not turn worse.
review 2: If I had to rate the first half, it'd be 2 stars - but the 2nd half is 4. So I met in the middle for 3 stars total. This book had a slow, lumpy start. We meet Lexi who is a mathematical genius and a hacker for the NSA. Wha
... moret makes that completely unbelievable is the fact she doesn't own a cell phone and little brain for money (her credit card is always maxed out and she has to borrow from her brother). Then the mystery starts unfolding and menfolk start coming out the woodwork. Luckily it evens out later and we get nice character development. I enjoyed the mystery and the eventual globetrotting. I liked the setting and most of the characters had a nice head on their shoulders and were relatively realistic. It is a bit harem like and farfetched in places (Lexi is dead average despite her initial strengths, but the guys are exceedingly capable in many ways). less

I really enjoyed this book, it's on the line of the Janet Evanovich books.
