review 1: It has been a long time since I've read an entire book in one day but I did with this one. There was a non-stop tension throughout the book following Maizie's escape from prison and I just couldn't put it down. Although classified as a "romance" novel rather than general fiction, this funny and engaging book weaves the romance into a narrative of unlikely heroes, nasty thugs, charming cops, and batshit crazy villains.
review 2: I got to 47% on this before I couldn't take it anymore. The cover is so far off from the book... I don't even know what people were thinking, some kind of dirty gal and some grit would be more appropriate. The book is about a girl who was convicted of murder, was out on work order when a tornado blew through. She escape and leads the Mar... moreshals on a merry chase, she is later aided by a public works type fellow, there is an utterly bonkers mom-in-law. less
