review 1: I selected this book because I love love love the Disarm Series by this author. At first I didn't think I was going to like Kat, but once her story unfolded, I liked her. I loved West at first, but as different memories started to return to him, I sort of figured what type of man he was and that's when the story really started to get good and I was hooked. Starting Part 2 today and I see I will finish it today too. Great book.
review 2: The author did a great job in developing this well written series. I loved it as there was character development, intrigue and steam. My heart broke for the heroine, Kat, several times through the book. In high school, being an outsider she was constantly bullied and humiliated. This resulted in her being a recluse living in
... more a remote part of Alaska and she put on a tough and impenetrable front to protect herself . During a severe snow storm, she encountered an unconscious man and brought him home and he turned out to be suffering from amnesia. Living with each other, they gradually formed a relationship and became lovers. I loved the dynamics between Kat and West. Their banter was entertaining and through West's eyes, I did appreciate the toughness and sweetness of Kat. less
