review 1: This is based on some of George Lucas original ideas for Star Wars. You can kind of see many of the well known ideas and characters in an embryonic form. But, there are also vast differences between this version and the one that we all know. I think that some ideas were abandoned, as they were not practical at the time. Such as Han Solo as a big green alien. Others needed to be more refined such as the droids and their interplay. If this sory had been the final product, I am not sure that Star Wars would have become the American Icon that it is. It is still interesting to see the origins of the ideas.
review 2: Not all men with beards look like George Lucas, so why do both of the bearded men in this graphic novel bear such a striking resemblance to him? It was ... moreneat to see Lucas's original concept, recognizing many themes and ideas that carry over to the two trilogies. Most of all it was good for a laugh, with the excellent art sharply illustrating the melodramatic dialogue and story, and illuminating this story for the giant "Mary-Sue" that it is. less
