review 1: So this is the first time I read manga in this format. I was sometimes tempted to go from the upper right corner to the left (but it goes right down then to the left). Once I got the chapter down I got used to reading in this format. It's a cute simplistic series about girls wanting to keep the pop music club alive. I will have to see if the library has the second volume. Also at the very end, they have a nice easy to read pages for how to read music and how to play some basic chords for the guitar.
review 2: I don't have a strong opinion of K-On! just yet! The manga, of course, is very cutesy and adorable. The main characters are silly and lovable. The storyline isn't that interesting to me, but it's not so boring. All together, I enjoyed the first volume. I d... moreid like that some of the pages were in color. But it did take me a handful of pages to realize that the panels go in two columns and you read them straight down instead of right to left like in a regular manga.Hopefully the next few volumes will pick up a bit. less
