review 1: First rate! Hilarious and cute! On a level with the first book. The story continues as the Yamadas have to deal with the very real situation that they can't keep hiding Chi in their no-pets-allowed apartment for much longer. Chi expands and deepens his friendship with the troublemaker, Blackie the Cat. Blackies first appearance didn't endear him to me but after this volume, I've grown attached to him as we learned a lot more about his ways and feelings. Kanata really captures some truly hilarious and profound moments of kitten/cat behaviour. My favourites being when Chi first encounters a new (very energetic) little girl, getting a claw stuck in the curtain only to find that when one gets free another gets stuck and her hilarious attention-seeking antics. The volum... moree promises changes for the Yamadas and Chi and I'm looking forward to it.
review 2: Hi friends,I read this book and I really enjoyed it because the Chi was really cute. I am going to tell you about this cat name Chi and she lived with this family called the Yamadas. They can’t tell anyone about Chi because they live in an apartment that doesn’t allow animals and if the people know about Chi, the Yamadas will either have to move or do something to Chi. Chi was really cute and and she met this black bear cat and was hanging around with him a lot. One day, the people found out about the black bear cat and they found the owner of the black bear cat. They told the owner either you have to go away, or do something about that cat, I think the owner really loved cats because he and his family moved away just because of a black bear cat! I wonder why that apartment doesn’t allow animals, I know some apartment is just like that but why do they have to do that? Chi was really sad when her friend moved away and I think Chi would miss her friend very much. The Yamadas think they can’t handle Chi so they decide that they would give it to one of their relatives. Yohei, the only son of the Yamadas, was really sad when he heard about the news so he ran out hugging Chi and went to the place they first met Chi. Yohei didn’t want to leave Chi but Chi kept on wanting to go free to catch prey and so Yohei fell and his mom helped him up. While Yohei fell, they saw an apartment that allows animal so they wanted to check it out.I don’t know what happened but the next volume will answer this question.
