review 1: Anne Dowling was involved in another mysterious murder case again, but this time, more twisted, more complicated and more scandalous. It was suspenseful and very addictive that I couldn't put it down. But I couldn't give the book more than 3 stars because of its protagonist. I was hoping that she would be more tolerable but she seemed to be even worse. She seemed to jump to conclusions too quickly but the author wanted her to be bright that her conclusions ended up always right. She found Matt's sketch of himself as Adam in the book and she suddenly had that theory that he got kicked out of paradise or something. Why would she seriously think and be so sure that a sketch had to mean anything? And because three students had died in, what, like 3 or 4 decades, she thought th... moree school was cursed and she would be next, even though she claimed that she didn't believe in curses. And lastly, she was such a two timer while constantly blaming the guys for her indecisiveness. One day she was dating one guy and having a fight, the next day she was calling the other one. One minute she was thinking of Brent and the next minute, she was probably in Anthony's arms. That was really the most annoying thing about her, followed by being so vain and easily and manipulatively using her friends. I still don't see why Remy wanted to be friends with her. The list could go on but I'll just stop. The mystery part was quite interesting and addictive though.
review 2: I must say this one wasn't as fun as the first book, but I definitely enjoyed reading about Anne's story. The ending was quite unexpected, though. Not the mystery, but how the serie is going to end. It kind of feels like the third book isn't going to be as related to the first two since it's more about a character that only showed up in the second book and doesn't play a really important role. I still look forward to how everything is going to be resolved , though. less
