review 1: This book was ok. The reason I gave it three stars was because it was very PG! I was waiting for raunchy sex scenes, but they didn't come (excuse the pun!)! Also, I didn't feel the chemistry between Chris and Jane (probably because she was so closed off). One minute she was feeling guilt over dating someone (her husband died 2 years previously), and the next she was accepting Chris's marriage proposal!Decently written, but I prefer Karen Erickson's raunchier reads, so it's the end of the road for this series for me.
review 2: Ms Erickson's writing is still fairly new to me but I wanted a Christmas story and I'm glad I read it for this holiday season. Jane lost so much in that fire but she has come far in two years and takes the next step to moving on with Chris... moretian. What a good match for them. Glad to see the interaction with her children too because it is a ready made family. Looking forward to the other sibling stories especially for Mac and Mindy. less
