review 1: What I always love about Karen Erickson books is her ability to take a common romance idea and twist it, give a lot of character and then make it work even better. In Tempting Cameron, there's amnesia, the bad boy in a small town who comes home wounded and a "little pest" to beautiful, sexy woman story. What makes Tempting different is the richness of the characters, the depth of their emotions and the way the author writes them. This is the second book in the series and I hadn't read the first one "Jane's Gift" but I didn't need to. Tempting Cameron is a fantastic portrayal of two people who find comfort and solace in each other, who connect and who find love not only with each other, but with family and friends. This is a book about relationships, about trust and ab... moreout honesty. Cameron really carries this story and he's a hero to remember.
review 2: Karen Erickson is really become one of my favorite authors to read. This is her second book in the Lone Pine Lake series and it was a very good story. Didn't like the hero Cameron at first because he was so full of himself but he grew on me. Still has plenty of faults but then who doesn't, right? The relationship he develops with Chloe may have been based on some guilt but I think he figured some things out along the way over the summertime and found out what he was missing in his life. I'm glad he got the dressing down from his older sister Mindy. I'm glad that his family tried an intervention with him. But what I'm really glad about was that Chloe forgave him and let him leave. Doesn't ask him to stay but told him she loved him. Takes a strong woman. I hope we get a story with Ali as the heroine. I also hope there is one down the road for Mindy too. less
