review 1: Alex and Tessa... I started this with great expectations and man, was I disappointed. Alex is the biggest grade A, asshole jerk I've ever read about, he must be bipolar!?. In one sentence he goes on and on about his soul being empty without her, and as soon as he found her he's accusing her yet again and treating her like sh*t. Buddy, be glad you don't know me, because I would've kicked you in the nuts...repeatedly!!!Guess what Tessa does!?... SHE TAKES IT! What a glutton for punishment and a stupid, spineless girl. Seriously??Ok, let me rather wrap it up. I didn't like the characters or the story, sorry.
review 2: First off, this book reminded me of a Harlequin Presents plotline. This is not a criticism at all. I love Harlequin Presents when they are writ... moreten well. The heroine Tessa works as the personal assistant for the hero Alexander Worth. Alexander is attracted to her from the start, but has not acted on it yet. Alexander and Tessa have to go on a business trip and this is where their relationship is taken to a new level. Meanwhile, Hunter who is the hero's brother is investigating a spy in the company. He suspects it is Tessa, but Alexander does not believe it at first. Eventually, he does believe she is the spy and kicks her out. She leaves to go live with her sister and realizes she is pregnant. He is remorseful when they realize she was not the spy. He searches for her to no avail until he eventually pretty much runs into her in London on a business trip. He is angry she did not tell him about the baby, but does not hold on to his anger long. Eventually, they have an HEA.One thing I did not like was why he was angry she did not tell him about the baby. Why would she have told him when he pretty much kicked her out and said he never wanted to see her again. I also would have liked to see a bit more groveling on his part.Nicole less
