review 1: A very good read! Like the subtitle of this series, Whirlwind Romance, the story sets off in a whirlwind of characters and places and relationships that hit you almost as quickly as the impending storm!Scott is an immediately likeable hero: he's smart, cool under pressure, rich and good looking. Not only that but he's understanding.. he gives Christina time to get used to his overtures and she eventual realizes that she's loves him. I mean, who wouldn't fall in love with this gem of a man?Karen Templeton unfolds Christina's story in such a smooth way that you eventually learn to sympathize with her but until that point, I was shaking my head wondering how she could resist Scott and I think that was the whole point.An excellent romance with the Cinderella ending the titl... moree promises.. I'm looking forward to book 2 in this Fortune series and definitely KT's next book.
review 2: Very good book. This series begins with Scott Fortune of the Atlanta branch of the family. Scott started the book as a very focused businessman, somewhat oblivious to what was around him. When the tornado hit the airport and trapped him with Christina, he was forced to take a look at his life and he didn't like it much. Spending that time, talking to Christina, opened his eyes to what he could be doing. He also realized that he was developing feelings for her. Christina couldn't believe that this rich, hot guy would be interested in her, especially for anything permanent. She had issues in her past that caused her not to trust men like Scott. He was determined to show her what they would be capable of together. I loved seeing how sweet and caring he was to her. He was very willing to be patient and wait for her to be ready, rather than trying to force a relationship. less
