review 1: I really loved this book and will be looking forward to reading other works by this author because I enjoyed it so much. With the main characters being named Whisky and Sawyer, already I was hooked into reading this. Whisky, who goes by Sky to conceal and avoid her past, is exactly the kind of character that I connect with. She is constantly having those witty comments (internally and verbally) and although she is pretty independent and strong, she still has these tendencies to doubt herself and her actions. Her childhood crush and best friend appears in her life suddenly and it seems just like her world she has carefully constructed falls apart at the seams, even if just for a little bit here and there. This rattles her and all these doubts seem to arise.Maybe it's just bec... moreause of the type of person I am, where I am always looking for the good out of just about everyone- but I really loved when things about her past were explained. She gets reminded that sometimes what is done is for all of our benefits and even when it appears that some one has given up on you, they most likely haven't.I have some favorite lines in here and they are more of less because I love the personality that Whisky had, one of them is "The cop and the biker's daughter... It had Greek tragedy written all over it." I am so glad that I read this on my Kindle because otherwise, I would be sad that I couldn't highlight and look back at all these points that made me laugh or snort, they were awesome. This is a book I would recommend to anyone and everyone, it has enough sass to keep you glued to the pages and enough emotion to want you to know more. It was an incredible book and like I said earlier, I cant wait to read more by this author.
review 2: I was pleasantly surprised by this book. It was refreshing and original. The storyline never dragged. I was hooked from page one. The characters were great and I loved Sawyer and Whisky's personalities. They had depth and charisma. Even the rest of the characters were fresh and unique. The plot was interesting and it wasn't a copy of all the other new adult contemporary romances out there right now. It had it's own voice and I appreciated that. There isn't much else I can say about the awesomeness of this book except that it deserves five glittery stars for being a fantastic read! less
