review 1: This series is solid, and I'm really enjoying it. The plot is intriguing and engrossing, and I like how each book builds on the story and fleshes the world out a little more. Lia is an excellent character, well-rounded, flawed, and utterly believable.You know a series is good when you compulsively read the books back to back and can't imagine interrupting your immersion in the world by reading something else.
review 2: I really do like this series - it's action packed but still tugs at all those emotional heart strings. Our fearless heroine is intelligent, strong, loyal, brave...and she thinks with her head as much as her heart, which is a plus. But I can't get over the editing errors! This book had the ultimate no-no, character name change. Remember Leon, t... morehe blacksmith's son? Apparently he is now Luka. Aargh!! Oh, and there's another recurrence of knifes, followed immediately by knives. Huh, guess spell check does work occasionally. less
