review 1: I've read all the Wesley Peterson books. There was a dip in quality at one point but this one was very good and back on form. Followed the usual format of two interweaving stories, one from the past together with the present one. Whilst it is formulaic it's a formula that works and Kate Ellis puts a lot of effort into crafting the stories so that they gel. Not sure how long the series will continue or how much mileage if left in the characters-guess we'll see

And Neil seems to be under threat from a different source again, unless one person is behind all the current and past crimes in the story. The historical mystery doesn't seem to tie in as neatly as in some books, but this was still a gripping read. less
