review 1: This is a book that will stay with me a long time. This is the story of friendship between two polar opposites, one a 35-year-old, driven, OCD-type control freak, and her best friend, a laid-back, go-with-the-flow woman of the same age. The first, Martha, is unable to get pregnant, and after five attempts at IVF, is devastated, but done. Alex, her friend, finds out that she is pregnant from a one-night fling with a former boyfriend. This well-crafted story show the emotions of these two women perfectly. Heartbreaking decisions have to be made, and Hewitt nails the emotions perfectly.

... moree but fascinating. I especially enjoyed the depth of the characters - what they did, why they did it, how they changed as events unfolded in their lives, and how they related to one another. If this was a self-published book (as many of the Kindle "special price" novels are) it was far superior to most I've purchased. While it did contain a few grammatical, structural, and punctuation errors that a good editor would have corrected, those errors did not detract from the value and effect of the book. less
