review 1: *received from NetGalley in exchange for honest review* I really enjoyed this story! It was cute, sexy, and fun. Cara handles the events side of her future brother in laws restaurant. She's a bit of a control freak. Shane is the pastry chef at the restaurant. Each have their own little secret. On a night in Vegas at her cousins wedding Shane and Cara end up married. They decide to get an annulment because who gets married 4 hours after meeting? But as they get to know one another the attraction becomes too hot to deny. Will they come together or will their secrets tear them apart? You should read this and find out for yourself!
review 2: I think I liked this one better than the first... still a 4-star read for me. Cara came across as so cold and superficial in ... morethe first one, I wasn't sure how the author would make me care that she finds her HEA, but she did. Once I understood Cara's backstory, I could understand how she was in the first one, and I felt bad for her. I loved that Shane wouldn't just let her get away with "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas". I loved that she opened up to him about her past, and I loved how he reacted to the news. I also loved how Shane started to figure out Cara's many layers. And while I understood why everyone was upset with Shane's revelation, I didn't see it as a "lie". He didn't tell anyone, sure, but he didn't outright lie about who he was. Ultimately, I was glad to see how this one ended. less
