review 1: I loved this book, but was disappointed that there was such a huge gap of two years between the last book and this one and kind of felt a bit cheated to have missed such a huge chunk of their lives together. I read all three books in such quick succession without checking Goodreads after finishing the first one, that I didn't realise there were books written in-between the main three *groan*! So, perhaps reading those will fill in a few gaps for me.The plot was stronger than the previous two, however, I do think it detracted a little too much from the relationship. I would have liked to have seen more of the three of them together. They were working alone too much when at this stage I wanted to see them as more of the team they are supposed to have become. Also, although t... morehere was a good level of general affection in this book, I felt it was too sparse with the more intimate scenes. The ending was not emotionally satisfying enough for me as I felt there were too many loose ends and it was not conclusive enough, perhaps being left open for another in the series? But again, I see that more short stories have been written after this book, so perhaps reading them will satisfy that. These are all minor criticisms that stem from the fact that I've become so attached to these characters that I'm simply greedy for more! Definitely up there as one of my favourite series' ever, I absolutely love it.
review 2: 4.5 stars. Better than the second one! The relationship seems to be doing better, but when the sister comes in and mucks up everything..../god, I wanted to scream again. I almost through my kindle with Evan. He gives the heart felt, "everything is ours and we speech" then the two speeches where he cuts Dan to the core, in the guest house and the barn, I wanted to reach through the kindle and punch Evan out!!! Fear is fear, but using personal knowledge for attack, "wow". Even though it had a HEA, I had trouble liking Evan again, or trusting him. I almost want a continuation of this series to see what happens. M/M/M's are fun to read, because they seem impossible and the authors usually write them as insta-loves and HEAs. This author is probably writing them realistic (not sure how often these happen in real life..)and I spent most of my time hurting for the odd man out! Anyway, still great writing, loved the horses and I would definitely read this author again. less
