review 1: When, at any point in a book, I start to mutter "Oh, give me a break"--there's a problem. I'll keep the rest of my troll-like comments to myself. I picked up this book because I thought this was an author I had read about 10 years ago. Her mysteries were unique,edgy,and virtually 5 star. If someone can think of that author whose name is similar this one--let me know. She was pre-Goodreads, at least for me.
review 2: Not impresses! This was a really nothing book. I already knew who was going to die, i.e. be murdered from the title and it was very evident who stood the most to gain by doing this. The retired police detective was probably the most appealing character. The rest I could have done without. I only finished this because it was due at the library next ... moreweek and I wanted to start something better.Not recommended!!! less
