review 1: I read "On The Surface" (book 1), finished it and immediately dove right into book 2. Loved this one too. Loved Calder and Becca. Loved that they actually knew each other ages ago and met up again. Loved that Becca is a smart, strong, very independent woman. Once again, Ms. Willoughy wrote a terrific romance with real characters who are real people and got all the hockey parts right. I'm hoping there's a book 3 in the near future.
review 2: Not nearly as good a story as the first in the series. I liked Calder. He was sweet. But I wish I did not hate Becca so much. But I have rarely read about such a selfish, unlikable bitch in a romance novel! She had zero redeeming qualities and I only finished the book hoping she would die or be dumped. I know I so... moreund ridiculous writing this, but I waited a week to write this thinking I would calm down but I did not. She is just that bad. less
