review 1: I read the English version of this book but Goodreads doesn't list it. The main character Iris inherits her grandmother's house and has to decide what to do about it. My favorite things about Iris are that she doesn't wear a watch so has no idea of the time of day and she didn't pack any clothes for this trip so she wears the old gowns she and her cousin and friend wore as children for dress up. This book wasn't a page turner but it was enjoyable.

... moreermany. Most of the book is spent in Iris's memories of her childhood visits to her grandmother's home, and the deterioration of her grandmother's memory for years before she died. There were secrets and tragedies, along the way. I liked the book, after I began getting into it, but it wasn't one of those that really grabs you and doesn't let go. Still, it DID have some hold on me, as I found myself wanting to see how it all turned out. less
