review 1: Just as the previous book, this is a great adventure story and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Ravenna is most comfortable with animals and living without society constraints. Into her sphere comes Vitor, a second son who acknowledged father loves and admires him ad whose birth father does the same. During the war he has helped both, serving as a spy and military advisor. They both find a great friendship but also the beginnings of a true and lasting relationship.
review 2: I've recently just fallen in love with Katharine Ashe when I heard the audio "My lady, my lord." I should of never doubted her after that incredible story. "I adored a Lord" was fantastic! First, she is a phenomenal writer. She knows how to weave a story full of interesting characters, origi
... morenal plot and dynamic chemistry between the hero and the heroine. From now on any book by her I will read!So our hero Lord Vitor Courtenay was a great hero. He was the perfect opposite to Ravenna. Ravenna was also a great heroine, he quirkiness was adorable and I loved her refusal to sit back and watch things happen. The minute that she uncovers that a murder has occurred she becomes involved in the "investigation." Although I was expecting the romance, I was not expecting the my aspect of the storyline but it was well developed and it did not take over the book. I highly enjoyed and recommend this fun romance/mystery because Katherine Ashe is a fantastic writer! less

DNF. Writing was too florid and the story melodramatic. I got to 15% and gave up.
