review 1: This is a favorite series of mine. I like the story lines and the easy manner of Faith Fairchild, a minister's wife in Aleford, Massachusetts. In this installment, she is called to the bedside of a friend, Ursula Lyman Rowe, and elderly woman who is recovering from a bad case of the flu. She tells Faith that she has something she needs to tell her. Something she has never even told her children. The revelation sends Faith on a quest for justice. An excellent series!

At the same time Faith's minister husband, Tom, is having some problems with missing money in the church.I usually don't like books that go back and forth between the past and present, but the author did a good job not leaving us in the past too long before bringing us back to the present. less
