review 1: I knew this novel would be fantastic and it didn't disappoint I got this book from borrow box on audio. Sopie is a paramedic and her husband Chris is a copper and they have a little boy. All of a sudden out of the blue Chris is shot and their little boy is kidnapped and everything turns upside down in a FRANTIC search for their son. This was a total page turner full of suspense and thrills and the characters were all terrific but Sopie was my absolute favourite. I plan on reading more from the talented Katherine Howell❤❤❤
review 2: Well that's just great. Now I'm hooked and going to have to seek out more Ella Marconi dramas. This one kept me up at nights with its racy (as in pacy) non-stop action. The infusion of real-life experiences added volumes to thi... mores riveting thriller about corruption and a kidnapped child but it was the tension and emotion-filled climatic ending which truly satisfied. Of the Tara Moss Split ilk but with a clean fresh voice to admire thanks to the sassy, strong leading lady, Ella. less
