review 1: I thought that it was wearied that they both had the same name and one was called Cat and the other one was Kitty. I thought that Cat went a little overboard with her maids who happened to be her friends before becoming Queen call her "her majesty". I did not like the fact that everyone just wanted to get into Kitty's pants to advance his statues and no one wanted to be with her because they loved her.
review 2: Oh this is JUST what I love in historical fiction/YA fusions: taking the entire narrative as a lens to view actual canon figures in a richly-woven environment. ... moretives about it. It's exciting when written following someone that you don't know, because you can no longer predict the outcome. I knew what happened to Catherine Howard, but I had no idea what the book would hold. Love it. YA version of historical events tend to avoid getting bogged down in unnecessary details and focus instead on the parts I love: emotions, betrayal, and the more human existence. I can't wait to read the other books of hers I have. less
