review 1: Since Corby's latest parole incident and the media's interest has once again resurfaced I felt compelled to wanna know more about her experience. I have always wondered what she was actually feeling and what's going through her mind through all her hell since she seems to avoid the media at all cost. The book wasn't very well written as it seems like she was repeating herself most of the time. But it's definitely a very good insight to Corby's mind and her experience in jail. Guilty or not. She has done her time and deserves to be free and live her life.
review 2: With my newfound love for traveling, it wasn’t a surprise that the story of Schapelle Corby, ‘Ganja Queen’ caught my eye. Traveling can be both liberating and empowering, but can easily be take
... moren away and become crippling. There is much controversy surrounding Schapelle’s conviction and sentence tied to the weakness of forensic evidence, Bali airport officials refusal to release camera clips, the use of hearsay as evidence, and refusal to investigate airport personnel between her connecting flight between Brisbane and Sydney. The story of Schapelle first caught my eye in 2007, as I watched the life of a then 27 year old Australian-native, be confined to a Bali prison for the possession of 4.2 kilograms of marijuana found in her boogie-board bag on October 8, 2004. She was, fairly or unfairly, convicted for importing narcotics into Bali fined, and sentenced to 20 years in jail in 2005. After an appeal, her conviction and sentence was confirmed with no further legal possibilities, and to this day, she fulfills her sentence in a Kerobokan, Bali prison. Her holiday vacation break to visit her sister and brother-in-law in Bali ended in an unimaginable nightmare. less
