review 1: Plays out like a cheap straight to TV drama, I appreciate the effort it would have taken to gain access to the players mentioned in this book but really it only scratched the surface of what really goes on. I was entertained for the first half but after that was quickly bored reading similar trafficking stories over and over again. I would have liked more on the distribution and the gangs that really control the island.
review 2: Snowing in Bali is one of the best books I've ever read. I want to praise the writer for opening my eyes to this world and getting me inspired to want to read more in this genre. It is so well written and a total page turner. Ive just got Snowing in Bali back from a friend and will read it again. But I've started Hotel K by the same... more writer and it has the same impact of pulling you right into the scene and making you feel like you are there,like a movie does. I highy recommend this writers books. less
