Slay That Sunday

Hey Beauty Lovers!

So, just like that it’s Sunday night – another weekend flown by all too quickly as usual, but as much as some people can start to feel the Sunday night blues before they head back to the work hustle on Monday morning, who can deny Sunday’s are such a beautiful time to chill and regroup for the week with the ones you love or even by yourself, even if it’s only for a short period.

For myself, today was spent running errands for my two very active boys’ extra curricular activities and then a beautiful coast workout looking out over the sunset, but whatever we have on for a laid back Sunday, I do like it to be a day to allow my skin to also just chill the heck out and I do this while still looking fresh and reppin’ the ‘I woke up like this’ look by using six swipe on and go products (note: Mumma’s this is also a fab and fast school drop off look).

Mecca Cosmetica Tinted Moisturiser | This used to make my skin look sweaty years ago, but they re-formulated in 2015 (they still kept the SPF 30 – woo hoo!) and it now sits beautifully with a super subtle glow all day long.

Nars Illuminator ‘Orgasm’ | Yes, their most famous blush with the infamous name is amazing in liquid form and as it’s got that hint of warm colour as well as the golden glow, simply using your finger tips to apply a small amount on top of the cheekbones will give you a hint of colour and highlight all in one.

Chantecaille Le Magnolia Eye and Cheek Palette | Ok, so I don’t use this on my eyes an cheeks on a Sunday, as I just particularly like the brown shade to use in my brows for it’s precision and a perfectly constructed brow in a flash. Plus, even though it’s an eyeshadow, this one sits perfectly in place all day long. Now don’t hate me, but I have a feeling this one might have been one of their limited edition palettes, but they have a few really good brown hues if you’re a brunette brow girl like myself, otherwise Nars also have great eyeshadows in a range of colours that are suitable for brows also.

Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara ‘Black’ | This mascara seriously makes you look like you’re wearing individual false lashes, I kid you not! The curl and flutter on it is utter perfection. That is all.

Bare Minerals Pop of Passion ‘Peach Passion’ | This is quite pigmented for a balm and feels super light weight on the lips. I fell in love with all the shades, but this particular one gives just the perfect warmth to your natural lip colour, however I do find it isn’t the most nourishing lip balm, so hence finishing off with the next product…

By Terry Baume De Rose | Anyone who has been following my blog for a while now will know that this baby is a long time favourite lip product of mine – it is simply too heavenly for words. This balm contains such pure rosewater so it smells incredible as well as being amazingly hydrating on the lips. The texture is absolutely divine, as it feels nourishing, yet isn’t greasy so it’s perfect on it’s own or over the top of a lipstick and I love the way it makes my lips look just that bit more plump.

Hope you enjoyed some Sunday rituals today and have a fantastic week.

Yours truly,

Kat O. xx
