review 1: Overall, this is a really well written book. Kathryn Smith had no problem with the flow and it made sense. However, the book could have been a little shorter. I feel like Grey's pity party could have ended sooner. I like Rose as she was as patient and understanding of Grey's situation and I did understand his POV because society was extremely viscous. In the beginning I was wondering about how thick he could be not knowing the woman he was meeting as Rose, but it did get explained.

When I saw that she is originally a romance writer I thought, "What the heck, I liked the writing of Steampunk. I'll check it out." I have to say, while I very much liked the writing of the SC series, I didn't have high expectations for this book. Wow! Pleasant surprise!Oh, and the sex is pretty damn steamy. In fact, it's detailed enough to be erotica rather than romance. less
