review 1: I picked this up to see why it never seems to be on our library shelves. I did enjoy this book, which tells the story of a girl possessed by an old, evil spirit. However, this is the third Katie Alender book I've read in a row. Though the story was good, I was beginning to get a little burned out on her writing style. I definitely would recommend this to a middle grade kid looking for a slightly thrilling read.
review 2: I really enjoyed this book there were some challenging parts, where they speak in french and don't translate. I would call this book a heart stopping, romance, and suspense. Marie Antoinette the old queen slaughtered and abandoned by friends. Hunting and killing a member of the family's that abandoned the queen, which Colette is in trying to
... more solve this mystery. The romance begins with a tour guide young aged showing the class adventure. Colette seems to have two romio's but one dies from a dreadful death by the ghostly queen just to break Colettes heart. The Iselins are Colette's family and back in the day the queen lived her best friend Veronique abandoned her which was the worst one yet. The queen plans to make Colette suffer since she is the reincarnation of Veronique. I highly recommend people girls and guys to read this book less
