review 1: What you read for the synopsis is the whole story/plot. There was nothing new, exciting, or something to learn. I still don't understand how they came to love each other, Sawyer didn't even take a keen interest on Hannah, and Serena was confusing. I didn't like or connect with any of the characters, they felt distant to me and I read more of what they were doing instead of the person they were. Shelby was a good friend but she only ever appeared where it was convenient as when Serena needed her. The story dragged for me and I skimmed through it half-way through. I think a lot had to do with the writing style and the going back to past and present. It had a great start and I was wanting to read it further when it suddenly plummeted and went round in circles plot wise. I pro... morebably should have read the reviews before I purchased this, fortunately it was on sale.
review 2: This was an exercise in frustration. At various points I wanted to slap and throttle the main character. She makes such stupid decisions and falls in love with the classic bad boy who doesn't treat her very well. I guess that's what it's like to be a teenager though. A series of foolish decisions that can have an impact on the rest of your life. I can see the allure of the the main love interest, Sawyer. I also could feel how stifled and suffocated Serena felt. While I may not have agreed with all of Serenan's decisions, the author does a great job of at least trying to explain where her main character's mind is at and why her character is motivated to do the things she does. Overall I would say the book deserves a 3.5/5. It is a good read, an interesting one, even if you don't like all the characters. less

Did not like Sawyer, can I actually say I hated him. Ruined the book for me.

A good read for Gilmore Girls fans without the likability of Loralei.
