review 1: First time I've ever reviewed a book on here. This book was suggested to me by a friend so I gave it an honest go, but it was one of the worst books I've ever read. The plot was so obvious and unrealistic. The heroine Laura willingly misconstrued every interaction she had with her love interest-- if she would have simply talked to the guy the story would have ended after about 100 pages. The rest of the book is filled with her back and forth thoughts about being in love, not wanting to be in love, and trying to avoid said love interest. Editing out 90% of this nonsense could have improved the book, ironic since the heroine herself wanted to be a book editor.
review 2: Love this book! its one of my favourites I could read it over and over again. Laura worked in ... morea book store but then the owner wants to retire so she some how joins a committee to do a literary festival. Along the way she some how says she knows a writer that they want at this festival who hasn't been heard on in years. So Laura has to find him. This begins the love story. Katie Fforde has done a great job I could not put this book down. less
