review 1: wow!!!! ahh !!! this book is amassing in the sense that it really captivates the emotional stress Maddie is going through. it interested me greatly!! when I first read the description I was hesitant (even though I loved awaken!) because I didn't think it would have this much action and adventure! usually I find books like this boring because the character spends to much time mourning what a terrible life they have and so on, but maddie is nothing like this she always keeps an open mind and tries to keep going. even when she convinced herself she had sunken down to the deepest of deep she changed he mind-set (with a little bit of encouragement).
review 2: It's very rare to read a sequel that lives up to the original. Middle ground does. Maddie finds herself put ... moreaway in a detention center to be reprogrammed into believing that a digital life is the best life. The book is physically exhausting because you actually feel Maddie's desire and struggle to be herself despite the "cure". This one is totally worth the ride and I can't wait for the next installment. less
