review 1: I am not a fan of Hope. I was hoping she'd redeem herself more in this book but she didn't until the very end. Everyone in Bramble loves her, but I just don't understand why. Colt, on the other hand, was fantastic, with a great character development. I found myself skimming to scenes with Colt. There will be a lot of readers who love this book, but it just didn't grab my interest the way Faith's story did.
review 2: I love these people! There were some emotional kicks in the story, and it isn't always clear what is going on as the story seems switched a bit, but it a good ride!we pick up where the book before ended, as Faith's wedding where Hope is full of self-pity of the entire situation. Whereas she has accepted her sister, and knows she doesn't want her hus... moreband, she still can't believe her back up plan has fallen through. The entire town still believes she is pregnant, and with this town, there is no going back once they make up their minds!Colt is Shirlene's big brother, and has been Hope's thorn-in-the-side since she can remember. While they dance around each other for most of the book, you know there is more there. The story is revealed in bit and pieces, with more and more coming to light until the big blow-up. Even then, there is more going on, and it takes quite a bit for you to get the entire storyOnce you do, it is an emotional release for the journey they have taken and the pain they both endured to get to where they are. Stubborn doesn't begin to describe either of them, they are both well beyond that simple explanation!Not as much craziness as the first book, but still enough silly moments to keep you laughing! less
