review 1: My Rating:4.5Favorite Quotes:The ten or twelve feet apart from her was suddenly unbearable and as though Fitz was made of iron and she was a magnet, he felt pulled to her in an uncompromising way, compelled to move closer to the force of nature that was Daisy Edwards.…you sigh in your sleep, did you know that? You sigh. And I decided it’s the last sound I want to hear before I die, Daisy. I want to hear you. Sighing beside me.My Review:I started off a bit fearful I wasn't going to like Daisy, but my anxiety was for naught. I loved Fitz just as much I had loved Barrett in the first story. Ms. Regnery’s writing is enjoyable, descriptive, and inventive. Each character is of course exceedingly good looking, successful, smart, witty, and endowed with unique persona... morelities and endearing quirks. I found the love scenes were deliciously steamy, yet tenderly sensual. Book series tend to make me a bit nervous but I am relieved that each book could stand alone with no cliffhangers, but I also enjoy how the books and characters overlap. I am now curious to see what happens with the remaining family members.
review 2: *I received this book free from Bewitching Book Tours in exchange for an honest review*Just because the words are not said does not mean that they are not felt.Fitz and Daisy had a summer fling nine years ago that ended up with her pregnant, them engaged, and both of them living on different continents. When tragedy struck there was no longer anything keeping them together. She wanted to let him out of his obligation and he wanted to respect her wishes…too bad they were too young to realize their mistake.Daisy has been in love with Fitz since that summer, but knew all he felt for her was obligation. He’d never said otherwise. But when she sees him again she realizes that her feelings for him hadn’t diminished over time, they’d intensified.“I love you. Tell me you love me.” Fitz has been in love with Daisy since forever…he thought she knew it. Boy was he wrong! He wants her back, but when she shows up back home with a fiancé in tow he thinks he’s lost her before ever having a second chance. Only that fact doesn’t deter him for long.“I don’t want you to marry Dr. M..” He wet his lips, his heart beating impossibly faster. “I want you to marry me.” Working through their past is the only way to move forward in the future. And when they do it’s sweet and emotional and you can’t help but love them both. Fitz has a tender heart beneath that meticulous brain of his and Daisy is gun-shy beneath her carefree exterior…together they break down the walls keeping them apart and move forward with the knowledge of how they’ve always felt for each other.Falling for Fitz is sweetly romantic. It is slightly emotional, but the humor in it keeps it balanced and entertaining. My Favorite Moment: When Daisy comes clean about Dr. M to Fitz. I loved his reaction!“You know, I love you so much right this minute. I don’t even know what to do with myself. I haven’t laughed that hard in years, Daisy.” less
