review 1: I think Hemmings is a great writer, so even though parts of the book were predictable I still enjoyed it. I do wish there had been a bit more closure at the end in terms of what is going to happen, but I understand why she chose to end it like she did. The story and the characters in The Descendants (Hemmings's first novel) appealed to me more, so I did like that book better, but this one is still definitely worth reading.
review 2: This book is written in a way that feels very real. The relationship between the main character and her father seems cheesy at times, so that did seem off in a way. I really liked the way emotions were played out in a way that seemed likely given the circumstances. I wish there were more of a "revealing the future" kind of ending
... more, but I think that would have undone the whole purpose of the book: to explore the Possibilities. less

Ok. The "twist" you can see coming a mile away.

Just okay. The Descendants was far better.
