review 1: Wow!!! I'm totally smitten with Rory #LoveHim he is such a sweetheart. Every girl should have their own Rory. Just when I taught this story could not get any better, Kay proves me wrong by taking their story to new highs. Emotions leaps from the pages engulfing me in ways I could never have imagined.Hndley & Rory have a rough time ahead....Extremely difficult Their love for each other is so strong that they would do anything to protect the other. That love is about to be put to the test.lets just say a whole lot of crazy goes down in this book that will leave you breathless. This story is so much more than a story about a skater boy. This story deals with mental disorder, dyslexia, abuse, drugs, alcohol, sexual assault, family drama, betrayal, blackmail, forgiveness, red... moreemption, fighting for love, never letting go......need I go on you can see where I'm going with this,Both books are AMAZING beautifully written with an effortless flow. I experienced every single emotion know to man whiles reading Rory & Hindley's story. The ending was the sweet cherry on the cake I got all chocked up because they had over come so much to get the ending they both deserve. I highly recommend this book, it ticked all the boxes hot sexy scenes, emotional, real, deals with issues that affects people in their daily lives but more importantly it give hope and inspiration.
review 2: Two damaged souls, find each other and learn to cope with the past and how to love and trust again. Skater Boy and My Skater Boy told a phenomenal tale of Rory Gregor and Hindley Hagen and their trials on their journey to finding a Happily Ever After. The story was well written and talked about some difficult situations in life. It was also about becoming whole again when you have only felt like a half for so long. I can honestly say I didn’t want these stories to end. I loved how it was told from dual points of view. I also loved loved loved the inner dialogue of each character. Most of the time it was hilarious reading their internal thoughts to themselves, it really helped the reader connect to each character more. Of course, Rory and Hindley faced some trying situations. Things I would never want to face in my lifetime. They struggled to come to terms with the things of their past and situations that life had dealt them or that others had created for them. Some people were out to destroy each of them individually or as a couple no matter what the cost. They also felt inadequate themselves and had a hard time moving past those feelings. I loved how they always thought the worst of themselves but always thought the best of the other. I enjoyed watching them help heal each other and move past their own insecurities to become the power couple they were meant to be. There are definitely scenes that will break your heart, there were also some pretty steamy scenes but thankfully that didn’t take away the impact of the story overall. I will also never look at Hello Kitty the same again! less
