review 1: Really enjoyed this. I have a tendency to compare an author's older works to their most recent books which really is unfair. Liked both MCs, Luke and Jesse, but didn't feel their connection as keenly as I have for others in her other reads. The author's mastery of whatever setting in which she places her characters is impressive. I used to follow the grand slam tennis events and I felt the tension at the games especially the us open, the variable weather at Wimbledon. I felt the humidity of ny at the end of august. The small side story with the commentators added another level of enjoyment of the book. And the trademark sexy times, whew!smoking hot. And most I loved that message of just being who you are. The quality of the writing was just superb. This is why I r... moreead MM romance. Feel good and an HEA, too.
review 2: This was a really enjoyable read and exactly the kind of cute story I had hoped for when I started it. The characters were interesting and the story developed nicely, even if it was a bit predictable in places. I'd have liked perhaps a little bit more of a build-up to Luke and Jesse's relationship at the start, but nevertheless I still loved their romance and I particularly enjoyed the wonderful end. Itt was just the perfect way to finish - it was really sweet and put a big smile on my face.I had specifically looked for m/m romance novels based around tennis players and this was one of two that was recommended to me. I'm a huge tennis fan and the sport is full of beautiful men, so I'd really love to see more tennis players in my m/m novels ;) less
