review 1: This book was stunningly executed from the start to the "I-so-do-not-want-this-book-to-finish" end. The descriptive detail was researched meticulously and I was left in do doubt whatsoever that everything written was 100% accurate. I have had this book on my TBR list since its release date, I kept on looking at it, thinking Amish? hmmmmm, not sure? but then I won a copy from the Boymeetsboy Blog and the decision was made! It's a book on a journey of discovery and the age old saying of "love can conquer all". There is of course angst, lots and lots of it and that is what makes this book so very special and unique. Keira Andrews is an author who is going places! - and even though it made me cry, can't wait for book 2!
review 2: Okay, I admit it. I one cli... morecked this book for curiosity's sake - I mean a Gay Amish Romance seems a contradiction in terms. It was a heart breaking story, sweetly and sensitively written about the conflict between sexuality, family and religious beliefs. As an Australian I know very little about the Amish culture and that was an interesting part of the story too. Apparently a sequel is in the works. I guess I will one clicking that also. ★★★☆ (3.5 stars) less
