review 1: Unless you were living in a cave for the past four years, you should be very familiar with Casey Anthony, the young Florida mother who allegedly killed her nearly three-year-old daughter, Caylee, in the summer of 2008, then allegedly hid the crime by failing to report her as missing for 31 days.In this forensic analysis, psychiatrist and Fox News Channel contributor Keith Ablow offers an explanation of why Caylee’s short life ended the way it did. While he discusses five main theories to explain how the toddler may have died, he seems to endorse the first hypothesis. The State of Florida also believed that Casey acted alone to chloroform Caylee and then stop her breathing with duct tape over her nose and mouth. For motivation, that theory suggests Casey was “enraged... more and horrified by her mother’s threat to jettison her from the family home and take custody of Caylee.” Ablow says “this theory--when analyzed carefully—leaves no psychological question unanswered.” In fact, the author takes it one step further by suggesting Anthony demonstrates what he calls identity suppression syndrome. In this examination of the psychological evidence, forensic psychiatrist Ablow also gets inside the mind of Casey’s immediate family members; her parents, George and Cindy Anthony, and to a lesser extent, Casey’s brother, Lee and their grandparents. By shaking the Anthony and Plesea (Cindy’s family) family tree, Ablow seems to come to the conclusion that most members of Casey’s clan were at least psychologically dead long before Caylee’s physical death in June of 2008.In the fall of that year, I was a radio news anchor and reported on Casey’s trial proceedings. During her actual trial nearly three years later, I was in a prospective jury pool in the same Pinellas County courthouse, on the very same day, where Anthony’s jury was being chosen. The wife of a church friend of mine was ultimately chosen for Anthony’s panel. After the verdict was announced, she didn’t want to discuss it. Very few jurors did. You can’t blame them. Given such overwhelming circumstantial evidence, it’s hard to understand why they acquitted Anthony. Perhaps Ablow should release a second book taking us inside the collective minds of Casey’s jury.
review 2: Had author left the whole deal with Anthony out of book. This would have been a great. Here is a pretty much psychology book, and in it it feels like the whole deal with the Anthony case was put in it just to sale books. The writing will be great then book switches back to the Anthony matter and it's like wtf half of the stuff just did not make sense why author put in book. And I take sides with the people about having trouble about George Anthony looking at his daughters privates. That was in the book way more then it should have been. I couldn't even finish the whole thing and books like this I could read all day. less

This certainly gives a different viewpoint into her reasoning behind the murder of her daughter.
