review 1: I liked this. Very much. The story is a little far fetched at first… the idea of travelling back in time at the whim of an old sorcerer set my teeth on edge a little… but once I got over myself and slipped into the narrative I was happily entertained until the very last word.I adored the way Bren Mac Coinnach was written. I loved the suspicious way he dealt with Faith and the unraveling of his gruff nature. Faith is a little flat as a character at first but develops nicely as the book carries through. The vow to not harm her or touch her unless she asks for him, makes for fun and games and the external threat to the Mac Coinnach’s brings its own intrigue. Over all a very enjoyable read and I will be looking for the second book in the series… How could I not? Poor D... morerust!
review 2: This is the first book I have read from this author and I really enjoyed it. I felt it flowed nicely and enjoyed the story line. At first had a hard time connecting with the story but it got better. I did feel to some extent it was rushed a little and I also felt that Faith was just a little to perfect about things. One thing that a couple others mentioned, was the switching in POV. For a bit that got really confusing but after awhile it seemed to clear out more. Other than that was a nice read. less

2.5 stars. This book was just an okay read. There wasn't much character development.
