review 1: Suicide Watch is very different from a lot of other m/m books, the story isn't focussing on the coming togehter of two MC's. It is instead telling the story of three lost and broken teenagers thinking about ending their life. The MC's were definitively breathtaking and I would have loved to read more about them. I really enjoyed the fact that the friendship and love between Vince and Adam is developping slowly and that they stay totally into character during the whole story. This book made me think about all those broken, forgotten teenagers out there and even if barely registered by society, I'm sure that there and plenty and way too many! Coming from a country where suicide cases are only rarely mentioned in public, makes the subject of the book even more important to me... more! Suicide Watch is a beautifulyl written story about hurt, pain and death on one side and friendshiph, love and hope on the other. 4 stars!
review 2: This is such a great book, I don't know if I have the words to do it justice. The depth of emotion is something I haven't read in a while. Vincent is just DESPERATE for anything to give him a reason to be. Adam is that reason, and it's so easy to see why. For all that Adam is supposed to be as messed up as Vincent, he was actually pretty well adjusted and together, which isn't a bad thing, it just wasn't what I expected. He does have his angst, but I guess since this is really Vincent's book we don't get to go as in depth with Adam. Casper was amazing, strong, heartbreaking, and inspiring. I love that this book doesn't preach. It's not pro or anti, just realistic. You're left with such a message of hope and peace, that for all the dark subject matter, and the tears you may cry, you end it with a smile. less
