Zombie in Love
review 1: Absolutely my favorite book by far that I have read while being apart of Good Reads. This beautiful book is about a zombie named Mortimer who tries his best to fit in and find a sweetheart for the upcoming Cupid's Ball. This book is filled with funny puns, morbid (but appropriate) illustrations, and personal connections that anyone can relate to. I'd recommend this book to 4th or 5th graders. I think this book is good for children because the main character is someone who isn't like everyone else, and can't seem to fit in anywhere. It subtly gives hope to those who feel like there's no one else like them out there, that there are indeed people out there who are just like you. Absolutely LOVE this book.
review 2: "Zombie in love is not like a scary book. They do
... moren't just scare you. They don't take brains out of people's heads. They are just like normal. The drawings are funny. It is a funny story." Mama saw this on the shelf at the bookstore and asked Papa to read it to me while she went shopping. After I couldn't stop talking about it in the car. I thought it was funny that Mortimer could not get a girlfriend and he is a ZOMBIE. I think that ZOMBIE girls are nice. less
