review 1: It seems a bit far fetched that an emotion or choice as I guess they were can have emotions themselves beyond the emotion they represent, but I liked the premise and the characters enough that I just went with it. I love how forgiveness and revenge were described though I couldn't really see the appeal of forgiveness. I think the author concentrated a great deal on making revenge so yummy that when the main character finally made her choice I was left face palming and yelling whyyyy?!?!
review 2: I didn't realize before reading this that it wasn't a continuation of Some Quiet Place. I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as the first book, but Kelsey Sutton's writing, I'm convinced, could never disappoint. This book was dark and melancholy and lovely. There were time
... mores when I was actually creeped out by the story. I didn't care very much for the main character, Alex, however. She was extremely selfish and continually made bad decisions. That being said, the book was saved by the original idea of emotions as people. I loved the choice (between Revenge and Forgiveness) that was posed. It made me think about times in my own life where I've needed to make that choice. Love a book that engages me on more than one level. less
