review 1: I did not like Rax very much, but it was easy to get the feeling something more was happening, and I was assured redemption was in order. Sometimes I felt like it would never get there, but there was a fascinating thread of realism to his character (in that he was never, ever perfect). His charms were drowning in booze and folly, so it made him remarkably human. I enjoyed the addition of Eve, Rax's equally messed-up other half and loved the way everything came together in the end. Plus, it's also thrilling to see the characters I already knew and loved so well (Jinx, Toombs, Letty, Shades) in the periphery, even if Rax's perspective wasn't always fair. In any case, I really enjoyed this series (read all three in under a week!).
review 2: OMFG!! What do I think?
... more? This series had me puckering and imagining and mentally thinking I need to spice things up!! lol I have to say Rax was someone who I hated since the beginning...He gave me hope a couple of times but hated him. This last book just put everything in place for me. Addiction is a major problem and to not realize you have a problem...sucks! Something so tragic needed to happen for Rax to get the picture but at the end he became this beautiful soul. less
