review 1: There are plenty of novels right about now featuring epidemics, climate catastrophe, and zombie attacks, but this one struck a chord with me. Rather than a generic mystery virus that animates the dead or whatever, Black Moon offers insomnia as the force that turns humans against each other, a plot point I personally found both refreshing and horrifying. Sleep is something I just do not compromise on, and losing sleep-time makes me very angry indeed, which made the 'sleepless' human-monsters of the book all the more true to life.

It has a very promising premise much like Age of Miracles, but loses focus in the end.
