review 1: Think this was an Amazon freebie so no idea what to expect.Quick, easy read. Seemed a bit rushed during the last few chapters (although the chapter numbers were going up at an alarming rate - one every few pages it seemed). The cover picture is a bit offputting but, as I said, it was free so thought I would give it a go. Good love story, entirely implausible but hey, reading is all about giving in to the author's imagination.2 stars feels a bit low, maybe 2.5.
review 2: Sweet Ophelia is an enchanting and fun read. I was captivated from the beginning. The character building was done exquisitely. The principle character is Warren August, a saxophone playing despondent homeless man struggling to survive in Hollywood. The secondary characters inhabit the backdro
... morep of the novel and help bring the story alive. In pursuit of food, Warren finds himself filching a meal from a catered meal table for extras on a movie production set and is mistakenly swept into the production. A second set of companions/characters are encountered and well developed. Among these is Bridget who is there to help Warren through the many convolutions in the story. This is the first book I have read of Kenneth Rosenberg, and it was a totally entertaining and captivating. I couldn't put it down until finished. I would definitely recommend this book. less
