review 1: Ian MacPhie was a young looking vampire until he took Roman Dragnesti's Stay Awake formula which aged him twelve years. Only now Ian's problem with the ladies is in reverse, he looks old enough but feels like a young lad. Toni Davis is mortal guard hired by Connor after being attacked by The Malcontents. She's thrusted in a world that she barely understands to give her friend Sabrina proof vampires exist. Ian was so sure he wanted a Lady Vamp for his one true love but all that changed with meeting Toni. Both Ian and Toni lament the fact the other isn't the right kind of person. When Sabrina turns up missing from her uncles Toni fears the worst. Meanwhile The Malcontents are stirring up trouble for the Vamps. Will Ian admit his feelings for Toni? Will Toni find Sabrina? Wh... moreat will The Malcontents do next? Your answers await you in All I Want for Christmas is a Vampire.Ian is one of my favorite characters in the series so far. All he wants is to find his lady love. Toni is no holds bar type person with a set plan. The war between The Malcontents and Vamps is certainly heating up. I thought the story showed just how human the Vamps could be with very real problems. Definitely looking forward to next book in the series.
review 2: Oh baby....There's something about a kilt and Scottish accent that gets us ladies hot and bothered. And there is something about an independent, strong woman that makes me think 'you go girl' and feel a little more proud of my femininity. Before I go any further, I'll just say that it is not usually my style to give away many plot details in my reviews so if that's what you are looking for, sorry for letting you down. If you are the more open minded sort, I hope I don't let you down. Ladies, I have a boyfriend. I have a fit, attractive, funny, thoughtful boyfriend. No I'm not bragging. He is all of those things in my eyes and that's what counts. Honestly, and this may be somewhat amusing to you, I never noticed he was darn attractive until my four foot nothing firecracker of an Italian grandmother made a rather un-grandmotherly comment about his looks. Anyways, I say this with the intention of conveying just how much the main male character Ian can do to a girl when her imagination runs wild (or as wild as deemed appropriate for a deeply committed girl in a long distance relationship) For those of your familiar with the show The Big Bang Theory, specifically with the character of Bernadette, you will understand the following reference. If you don't watch the show, get to it. Not only for Ian, but for all of his sexy Scottish companions, a girl would be happy to spend the night with him, just to send him away in the morning 'with a smile on his face and bite marks on his hiney' Dream on girls...dream on. And if you need a little help in doing so, pick up this book or any others by the talented Kerrelyn Sparks and get ready to turn up the heat. less

I just loved Ian and Toni’s story! I thought it was one of those Christmas-themed short stories and was pleasantly surprised to see that isn’t the case.Ian finally grew up to look like a man instead of a boy and he’s looking for true love…in a lady Vamp. This hope was thought of in a logical sense, Ian good man that he is, doesn’t want to lie about his true self. He’s really adorable and since I’m a fan of Scottish Highlanders it was easy to love his character. He went to Horny Devils to find his mate but it’s really not the place for that. He confided to Vanda and though her intentions were good, it didn’t turn out as planned.Toni has suffered a lot of rejections and I admire her 4 morning affirmations. From the start, it was obvious she and Ian would suit because he flirted naturally with her. They rile each other up and it was amusing. I also liked Carlos and knew somehow he’s not just another neighbor. I think the gay acting is just a front. I think Sabrina and Teddy would have something in the future.I like the developments here, especially the slow addition of shapeshifters in the series, and that they’re working for the Vamps. In the previous book, Phil shifted a large wolf and saved Heather by stalling Louie.Ms Sparks writes fluently and she really does captivate me with her stories. The characters are an eclectic mix, from past to present, and her Vamps have a dose of pop culture. I’m glad there are many more stories in this series to devour.
