review 1: This prequel to the first book in the Iron Druid series is a great introduction to Atticus and his hound Oberon. As always, the last Druid cannot keep himself from getting involved and totally making things worse for himself before he makes them any better. It's fast paced and liberally dosed with the kind of humour you might expect from a 2100 year old man who tries to keep up with modern conventions.
review 2: I read this first since it was before the first one, Which I haven't read yet. But after reading Clan Rathskeller, I fully plan to. I liked Hearne's writing style, it flows very well, and keeps the reader interested. I think it has the right amount of details and action to keep me interested. ... moret to own! I can't wait to get back the library and see if I can find this series! Although trying to decide if I get them all at once and read in one setting and devour this series, or one at a time to slowly enjoy them. Also I can already Oberon is going to be my favorite pup! less

I might have a crush on Atticus. I enjoy the short stories even though I think they are a big tease.

Funny story with plenty of Atticus being a bad ass. What more could one want?
