review 1: *****Review by Gladys #XOXOtheNerdGirl #NerdGirlOfficial*****I read Phoenix Heart when it first came out and honestly really loved it. Typos and all. If I was one of Khelsey beta readers or editors I would have found treasure in the basket of mess that was originally printed. I even commented to my husband that this book would be something wonderful if she had a great editor. I wasn't the "Nerd Girl" then but just a Nerdy Girl who loved to read so I didn't contact her. BUT doesn't matter now because IT'S BEEN EDITED AND IT'S READY FOR YOUR READING PLEASURE!This IS your typical "Girl Gets Groovey" after her boyfriend stomps on her heart story, but there are twists and turns and twist and turns and a few more twisty turnies in there for good measure. Jennifer meets Pho... moreenix and then they ya know and then well ya know.... oh and they ya know!!! So basically I am telling you its good, read it, and then tell me if i was right or wrong. If you are looking for something fun, paranormal and sexy then read this book. Give it a chance! Don't read and listen to the bad reviews about the typos, look past the negative and just listen to me. Not everything is black and white. There is a hint of pink! AND it's Me! Lol... Just cuz all things #NerdGirlOfficial is PINK! Ta Da!! I tip my Nerd Girl hat to you Khelsey! I have since been begging you for a follow up and yay you gifted it to me for an honest review! So my fellow Nerd Herd keep an eye out for my review of Max Temptation (Phoenix's Heart sequel)Note: For more reviews from Gladys #XOXOtheNerdGirl, please visit www(dot)NerdGirlOfficial(dot)com. review 2: 3.5 stars. This book certainly surprised me. I didn't expect it to be a paranormal type of book. I really liked it though and may read more paranormal now! There were a few issues with the book, though. For example, it could have been longer. I would have liked the book to start out with her walking in on her ex. It was a little unreal that she was with the guy for 5 years and was still a virgin. I'm pretty sure Jennifer wasn't with him while she was a young teen; I think she was 17, so 5 years is a long time, in my opinion. So I'm not shocked her ex cheated on her, to be honest. Also, the author seemed to have an issue with using the correct tense. Sometimes it was past and sometimes it was present tense, but all in the same sentence. It seemed like the book could have used more editing. There were times where I was confused with the dialogue and who was saying what, so I had to go back and re-read at times. The book started out good and I was immediately interested in it. It could have definitely been longer to allow an explanation for some things that happened. Aside from the grammatical and editing errors, this was a great book! I would love to read about the secondary characters, Max and Megan and get a sequel on Phoenix and Jennifer. less

I enjoyed this book. It did not completely tie up loose ends (I.e. Why her apartment was robbed)

Hmmm that was different. Not a bad book it was a little rushed but had a good story line to it.
