Supernaturals don't like each other very much and have an uneasy truce between them. Mace is an Alpha Male and thensome. Cora is sweet and unsuspecting personality. I really enjoyed how their relationship grew gradually instead of wham bam thank you ma'am. I'll definitely read more of this author's work in the future.
review 2: I actually rated this when I was about 50% through it, and didn’t feel the need to change the rating. The only negative thing I can say about this wonderful story is how it ended. Ill leave it there, you will have to read it yourself.Now Cora if a girl had a run of bad luck throughout her entirety of life, Cora was it. From the time she was young to becoming a adult, she's had to suck it up be it starving, homeless or a pet for a vampires. Her whole life seemed nothing but a run of bad. A young woman taken off the street and married and then forgotten.. or was she? As much as she tried to be “invisible”, she is thrown in between sometime of blood war. In comes Mason a Vampire on “the good side”. Tall dark and sexy... ( showed a few soft moments, made me forget he is a vampire). The mission that Mason is on is a bit muddy... black market blood, that could be from another Vampire that Mason knows. He as been stalking a suspect for awhile now, but is he actually stalking the wife of the suspect?? In comes Cora, and sets of a chain of events that will leave you anxious. Witches, ghost, familiars.. and of course Vampires. Ohhh my. Not just magic is felt but passion as well, a very odd triangle .. Mace, Cora and Knox.. and Knox puts a whole new meaning to Jack ass... just sayin. Mace loses himself in Cora... is she playing a game with him? Will she use him to gather a army that she has control of .. like the history books say?? Includes some pretty hot sex scenes.. not as often or detailed as I’ve read in other books, but they will peak your interest. So grab this book, and something to drink get comfy and enjoy. less
